BUYER - JEWELRY

Objectives:

• Responsible for assortment planning, product sourcing and setting up vendor relationship          
• Develop, maintain and optimize purchasing channels/vendors to achieve right selection target in line with our company’s business direction and sales goal
• Owner of vendor management, use vendor compliance metrics to drive disciplined vendor behavior and ensure a balanced in-stock score card to ensure steady healthy business growth
• Manage daily business by focusing on improving product selection, everyday low price, quality pictures and product description and availability

Essential Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to work out and negotiate pricing (silver and diamond jewelry) with manufacturers
• Strong analytical mindset, planning and execution capabilities
• Customer focused mindset
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills and is comfortable with making business decisions based on numbers
• Must possess first class sourcing and negotiation skills
• Action biased and results oriented and self-motivated.
• Must be comfortable with computer databases and tools.
• Fluency in oral and written English. Knowledge of Italian is preferable.

Working experience:

• Over 5 years working experiences in Jewelry industry, candidates with multinational brand experiences preferred
• Good network with mid-high end Italian jewelry brand and manufacturer
• Experiences in managing a proven successful business or leading a sales team to achieve business goals; Candidates with retail experiences preferred
• Demonstrated successful track record to manage a high performance team
