OBJECTIVE
The main objective of this role is to DISPLAY THE PRODUCT IN THE STORE in the appropriate commercial and aesthetic manner, according to the guidelines laid down by the merchandising department.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE VISUAL MERCHANDISER
- Greeting and smiling. Facilitating customer service.
- Planning, organising and carrying out changes in merchandising according to the department’s instructions.
- Knowing and applying the Merchandising Book in the store.
- Providing information to the rest of the team on all areas relating to the product and its display in the store.
Visual Merchandising
- Following and putting into practice the Merchandising Book and the messages sent by the department, in order to ensure a unified image is projected in every MANGO point of sale.
- Looking after those elements that influence the image of the store (still lives, displays, interior decoration, product lighting, furniture, appearance of the clothes, etc.).
- Knowing and using the techniques of visual merchandising to display the product as attractively as possible, following the MANGO standards.
Strategic Merchandising
- Scanning garments both when putting them on display and when removing them from the display, to keep the rotation record up to date.
- Studying the sales rankings to manage the product and plan changes.
- Studying the profitability of the furniture units in the store according to the appropriate frequency for each type.
- Making the best possible use of the strategic areas of the store.
- Keeping up to date with the new collections received in the store and those that have been removed from the store in order to make the change (merchandising rack).
- Displaying the correct signage at all times (special qualities, promotions, sales, basics, etc.).
- Detecting variables that affect sales in the store (customer type, competition, weather conditions, local holidays, window display, etc.) to act accordingly where appropriate.
Product Management
- Knowing the collection in the store (initial order, reprises, etc.).
- Managing and monitoring the product based on the tools and procedures established within the company (sending consignments, transport, PMD, etc.)
Communication
- Collecting information on the store team and customers and passing it on to the store manager.
- Calling regular meetings to pass information on to the team concerning the new garments displayed in-store and their location, trends, etc.
- Continuous communication with warehouse staff to ensure perfect product rotation and to establish priorities in opening the boxes received.
KNOWLEDGE
- Company customer service standards.
- Knowing the content of and how to apply the Merchandising Manual.
- Knowing the content of and how to apply the Merchandising Book.
- Product: the collections, their characteristics and their location in the store.
- Exhaustive knowledge of the store's customer type.
- Sales rankings, models that are sold out, repeat orders, catalogue, etc.
- Use of the rotation record.
- 100 questions.
