System Administrator
The Job
- Coordinate with different business units to deliver infrastructure to support IT projects
- Perform IT system (PC, PC server, Server, Cluster, Storage, SAN, Backup system) installation, commissioning, deployment
- Perform IT system administration, system configuration, system monitoring, system backup, system performance tuning , problem diagnosis and rectification
- Perform IT system security configuration/testing/audit trailing, capacity planning
- Interwork with application team, DB team on system deployment, support and troubleshooting
- Provide support and troubleshooting on infrastructure in form of 7x24 ECO as well as supporting project works in nights/or daytime.
- The managed platform may include, but not limited to Unix, Linux, Windows, Sun OS, VM ware, Oracle.
The Requirements
- Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline with at least 2 years relevant experience
- Hands-on experience in Operating Systems (various UNIX environment e.g. Sun Solaris and Rethat)
- Solid experience in UNIX System Administration / Scripting / Cronjob / Troubleshooting / Capacity management
- Familiarity with fundamental networking / distributed computing environment concepts; can configure NFS / DNS
- Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus.
- Willing to work in different hours if required
- Able to do 7x24 hr support.
Candidate possesses below requirements will be advantages:
- Windows environment, e.g. AD, MS Exchange
- Various Backup Technology familiarization
- Understand telecom / IT business environment.
