Job Mission:

Performs instrumentation support activities in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments. Designs and installs processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufacturing facilities to meet quality, safety and productivity standards. Participation actively in new projects on the plant, namely on the selection and commissioning of instruments for new projects or installation modifications. Develops and applies instrumentation standards and procedures, guidelines and legal requirements and provides advice on issues within the instrumentation field.

Main responsibilities:

• Set up appropriate instrumentation and maintenance strategy and review effectiveness periodically Including identification of strategic and operational spares, managing the inventory level accordingly;
• Plan and co-ordinate predictive, preventive instrumentation and maintenance work, including breakdown maintenance and plant modification. Ensure timely closure of work orders in Computerized Maintenance Management System;
• To participate in deviation investigation process and ensure that instrumentation and engineering related corrective actions are completed within the agreed timeline;

• Ensure that all instrumentation and maintenance activities and housekeeping are carried out in compliance with instrumentation and engineering standards and procedures. Carry out periodic review of Standard Operating Procedure;
• Carry out plant modifications and other identified plant improvement projects under defined specifications and budget;
• Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice;
• Undertake any additional tasks commensurate with the role as and when required.

• University, or equivalent, qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation);
• Typically requires 2-3 years relevant experience in instrumentation and calibration activities, preferably within an industry environment;
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation is mandatory P&ID diagrams, Electrical and Instrumentation Diagrams;
• Knowledge of instrumentation/calibration national and international procedures;
• Ability to perform instrument fault & finding on the field;
• Experience in Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP PM module or similar;
• Competent (written and verbal) Chinese & English;
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package.
