Assistant IT Manager - Infrastructure and Data Center

• Develop overall work assignments and schedules for the technical / service team to achieve set targets and milestones, which would affect the overall project schedule and / or service quality.
• Analyze user requirements and develop technical specifications for quality assurance reviews to ensure the architectural and other technical standards are met.
• Design prototypes of systems for proof-of-concept, validate functional requirements and demonstrate that the designed system meets the overall business and technical requirements.
• Lead and supervise the development and integration of technical systems and perform integrated system tests and regression tests, which would affect the quality and reliability of the final IT service.
• Deploy the final system for operational use by designing installation packages and validation procedures for effective rollout of the system.
• Review trouble-tickets captured by IT Helpdesk and supervise the overall process of trouble shooting, application of fixes and restore the system to normal operational state.
• Review and approve IT infrastructure configuration changes to rectify system issues or implement new functionalities to support the business needs without undesirable business impact.
• Supervise and assign tasks to subordinates and contractors to maintain a highly productive team.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree holder in computer science, information systems, software engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years relevant working experience with at least 3 years at supervisory level.
• Proficiency in technical writing and user communication.
• Proven management skills and experienced in working within a tight commercial and time constraint.
