Project Supervisor
SCOPE
The Project Supervisor – Logistics will undertake a variety of diverse project oriented tasks, many of which will involve research, collecting and assembling data, review and analysis, summarizing key conclusions, and communicating with key internal and external managers in the process. He / she will carry out other project tasks relating to the successful implementation and completion of the critical path.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist with the management and updating of the critical path activities.
2. Independently supervise a group of employees to accomplish assigned task
3. Supervise the relevant design & construction information required for installation process
4. Supervise day-to-day installation issues with appointed installation contractor inclusive of on site
5. Act as an information source and liaison between internal and external key stakeholders including Design and construction, certain consultants and existing operating areas.
6. Carry our other project related tasks as and when required.
7. Able to work night shifts when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics or related field would be advantageous.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2-3 years in the workforce with experience at supervisor level that would support the job scope. The successful candidate may have a background in hospitality but is not essential.
- Background in practical experience in Logistics/ Supply Chain - essential
- Background in warehouse management – helpful
Background in hotel FF&E installation - very helpful
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
Well rounded understanding of hotel and/or casino operations would be an advantage.
PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, a must.
SKILLS / ABILITIES / PRESENCE
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
Strong attention to detail.
Able to read and understand floor plans and shop drawings.
Quick to grasp concepts that will facilitate analysis of complex tasks.
Good with numbers and financial evaluations.
Able to think through critical path detail and quickly grasp interdependencies.
Able to multi task and work with multiple departments.
