1. Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible / Accountable
· Manage and develop the artist’s technical growth.
· Maintain the Acrobatic and Gymnastic integrity of the show.
· Evaluate and Document the training and physical well-being of the artists.
· Manage and Develop, Lead Coach, Artist Coach, and the show Captains and utilize their skills in day to day rehearsal and operations of the show.
· Prepare and maintain budgets and budget forecasts on an ongoing basis.
· Manage the artists well being through close collaboration with the Health Services Department.
· Manage the discipline and well being of the Artists in collaboration with the Resident Artistic Director and Stage Management team.
· Create and manage rotations within the acts to meet the changing needs of the show.
· Make recommendations to the Resident Artistic Director, Artistic Manager and Artistic Coordinator, as to the management and integration of new and replacement artists and as to show and training restrictions for the artists as deemed necessary.
· Collaborate with Stage Management and appropriate Technical Management for show and artist changes, and all technical issues that will affect the show.
· Manage the rehearsal and training schedule with Stage Management, Lead or delegate the training sessions.
· Create strength and conditioning programmes, manage reintegration plans and schedules with Physiotherapy Department.
· Supervise the specific safety needs / protocols of the specialized acts and equipment, and report/document them to the Resident and Technical directors.
Support
· Support the consistent implementation and execution of Artists training and conditioning programmes in conjunction with the Physiotherapy Department all the while underscoring the personal responsibility of the performers themselves.
Consulted
· Consulted on any and all Marketing and/or Promotional activities requiring the participation of performers as well as photos shoots, media etc.
· Consulted on show schedulling and augmentation of number of shows.
· Consulted on all reintegration of performers.
Informed
· Informed on all workman’s compensation insurance policies.
· Informed on any scheduled visits from the creative teams.
Research and Design
· Work with the Acrobatic Designer and the Technical department, to develop and create acrobatic, aerial and gymnastic acts.
· Advise on bio mechanical possibilities and artist possibilities for created acts.
· Collaborate with the Resident Artistic Director, the creator and the choreographer to develop the acts relative to the show, and in orientation of the concept.
2. Qualifications :
Education
· University Degree or College and related experience.
Other Skills
· The ability to supervise personnel and to perform under pressure.
· The ability to understand the context of a fiscal budgets as pertains to his/her responsibilities.
· The ability to be a team builder and to lead strong teams.
· Computer literacy as it pertains to PC based systems and common office software / MAC.
· Ability to swim - high level of comfort in water.
· Ability to train and certify as a SCUBA DIVER, if required.
· Willingness to learn or update lifesaving skills.
· Willingness to learn and become CPR trained.
· Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to water.
· Willingness to define, practice and conform to safe working procedures.
· Ability to speak and understand English.
· Able to Relocate to Macau China.
