| 職位要求： |
1. Main purpose of the job :
• Lead the Lighting Department of The House of Dancing Water in all departmental management, operations and safety.
2. Roles and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for leading the lighting and projection team to maintain and operate all theatrical lighting and projection systems, associated equipment and upgrades in a safe and consistent manner.
• Preserve the original artistic integrity of both the lighting and projection design intent.
• Manage and direct the lighting department personnel. Manage staff performance, hire new employees as required, manage the departmental leave plan in conjunction with staff leave accrual and HR procedures. Generate or oversee the departmental weekly roster and management of the daily operational schedule.
• Manage the Lighting Department budget and capital expenditures in conjunction with the Technical Direction Department. This includes, but not limited to, product research, requesting quotes from vendors, placing orders within the company’s electronic purchasing systems, purchase tracking and monthly budget reconciliations.
• Direct and lead the lighting team in a comprehensive program for system and equipment maintenance, daily inspections and related procedures, maintenance and inspection accountability, troubleshooting, and associated record keeping through the use of computer assisted drafting, database, and electronic file systems.
• Maintain a safe working environment by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures, lead the lighting and projection team in adhering to all safety programs, participate in all required safety and emergency response training, and assist in the development of any new safety awareness that may become necessary.
• Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsals, training, maintenance and evening show performances.
• Collaborate with other departments in the development and execution of emergency and rescue strategies for lighting and projection operations.
• Maintain communication with the Lighting System Vendors and manufacturers for updates and repairs.
• Work with Artistic regarding changes, development and evolution of the show.
• Lead special projects which include, but are not limited to, the research and development of new lighting or projection equipment upgrades and implementation.
• Learn and participate in the running of specific show track(s) as required.
• Be Knowledgeable and aware of all electrical systems in and near the water.
• Provide support to other departments for their electrical systems needs.
• Other tasks as assigned.
3. Qualifications :
Education
• Undergraduate degree in an entertainment industry program of study specific to lighting production.
Experience
• Five to Eight years experience in a similar position including management and supervision of moderate to large crews.
• Practical experience regarding lighting equipment troubleshooting and repair utilising digital measuring devices to perform calibration and testing.
• Experience with large-scale production lighting systems and hardware, as well as the associated digital network communications.
• Demonstrated competency in basic electrical and electronics with respect to theatrical lighting systems and equipment.
Other Skills
• Strong computer skills desired in AutoCAD, Filemaker, databases, specialty lighting programs and desktop publishing.
• Competency in electrical system safety and operations in and around water environments.
• Knowledge of Lighting Programming.
• Knowledge of system troubleshooting and software.
• Willingness and ability to be Scuba certified and work in a water environment.
• Ability to lead people and work under pressure.
• A passion for the live performance environment.
• Strong commitment to the endurance of a show in a repetitive environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization,
• Energetic, enthusiastic and hardworking. The ability to work comfortably in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Cantonese speaking is an asset.
