Primary Purpose
Report to Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will manage Sales, Operations, and Staff Development areas of the store to achieve maximum profitability, compliance with company procedures, and excellence in customer service.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Store Management to
Sales Generation & Customer Service
•Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided in the store.
•Achieve all Sales Goals, and plan sales goals with the Store Manager.
•Ensure the sales floor is adequately supervised at all times.
•Communicate recommendations and best sellers to the Area Manager/Retail Director.
Staff Training & Development
•Interview, screen, hire, coach and counsel staff in accordance with Coach Policies.
•Delegate duties and responsibilities to foster a sense of ownership among the staff and to increase efficiency of store operations.
•Implement Coach training programs; hold regular staff meetings and initiate on-the-job training; supervise and train Management Team to develop their managerial skills.
Merchandise Management
•Present Merchandise in a manner that will maximize sales and achieve optimum merchandise turn. Work in partnership with the Area Manager/ District Manager.
•Stay current on product range, and educate staff on competitors’ products offering.
•Conduct inventories and maintain accurate inventory records.
•Work with staff and customers to identify product improvements, new product ideas and new product feedback.
Operations
•Comply with all local lease and statutory obligations as well as with local codes.
•Identify methods for lowering expenses and increasing overall store profitability.
•Attain store shrinkage goals.
•Uphold highest standards on all Company audits.
•Ensure that all HR paperwork (new hires, terminations and change in status) is promptly and accurately completed.
The accomplished individual will possess
•3+ years store management experience in retail operation preferably fashion/luxury fields.
•Higher Diploma holder or above.
•Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
•Good analytical skills and strong business acumen.
•Self-motivated, customer-focused and task-oriented.
•Passionate, people oriented and creative personality.
•Proficient in MS Office.
