Penny Wise and Pound Foolish——因小失大
** Careful with one's spending of small sums of money but careless and wasteful with larger amounts.(一個人謹慎花一筆小錢,卻草率浪費大額金錢。)

This proverb is originated in Englandin 1598:“Least he (as it is wont to be sayd) be penny wise and pound foolish, least he I say, gather ashes, and cast away flower.”
(這句諺語起源於英格蘭,於1598年發表:“至少他(因為他不會說)是貪小失大,至少我說他,收集灰燼,扔掉花”。)
